BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge High School Ultimate Frisbee “A Team” finished third in the league recently, with an overall 7-2 record.

Nearly 30 teams compete in the league, and BHS was bested by Ballard 13-11 in the semifinal round. They went on to defeat Bishop Blanchet 14-6 in the final game of the year.

“We had a great turnout this year, with nearly 60 players coming out, allowing us to field three teams for only the second time in our program’s history,” said Spartan Head Coach Rain Fordcye.

“While the B teams showed lots of growth in all of the players, we are poised for a very strong season next year,” he added.

Fordcye also recognized the team’s departing seniors. They include Russ Amelang, Sophia Bidinger, Ryan Cox, Carter Daniels, Jordan Davis, Mateo Florez, Cole Garthwaite, Emma Goidel, Justin Greer, Britt Lindquist, Scott McEwan, Sam Pelly, Cole Rees, Cole Schardein, Pete Sharp and Eliza Townsend.
