BHS serves up 7-4 tennis triumph

BAINBRIDGE - The Bainbridge High varsity tennis team hosted a high-pressure tennis turf war Monday and came up 7-4 over the visitors from Seattle Preparatory.

BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge High varsity tennis team hosted a high-pressure tennis turf war Monday and came up 7-4 over the visitors from Seattle Preparatory.

The visitors claimed wins in both Girls Doubles Matches and one of the Boys Singles and Girls Singles matches throughout the contest.

Tara Nikomborirak and Quinn Dassel were bested 6-7, 6-2, 6-1 in Girls Doubles No. 1 and Seattle Prep likewise managed to defeat Andalucia Curtis and Lily Fagerlud 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 2 match.

In Boys Doubles No. 1, Ben Devries and Jeremy Lipshutz brought home a Bainbridge win 6-3, 6-0.

Maxwell Brown and Aiden Sullivan also staked a victory flag for the Spartans in Boys Doubles No. 2 6-1, 6-4.

The BHS Mixed Doubles team of John Smith and Maddy Brito defeated their opponents as well 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.

In Girls Singles No. 1, Samantha Jiang won 4-6, 7-6, 6-3.

Ellie Van Slyke found herself on the wrong end of a 6-3, 6-2 loss in Girls Singles No. 2, but Elizabeth Viele claimed a Bainbridge win 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 in Girls Singles No. 3.

Holt Ogden lost 6-1, 6-1 in Boys Singles No. 1, but Eli Wagner and Mason Ogden chalked up two more wins for BHS in Boys Singles No. 2 and 3 (6-4, 6-0 and 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, respectively).
