BHS humbled by Holy Names

SEATTLE - The Bainbridge High varsity girls basketball team received an unpleasant 67-22 technique lesson from Holy Names Academy.

SEATTLE – The Bainbridge High varsity girls basketball team received an unpleasant 67-22 technique lesson from Holy Names Academy Friday, Jan. 24.

Coming off an epic victory against Nathan Hale only two days before, the Spartans found themselves trailing against Holy Names almost immediately in the first quarter and 44-12 by the end of the first half.

Paige Brigham led the team’s offensive efforts with eight points for the Spartans, while Nancy Karreman managed six total points and Rosie Brown and Kayla Buchmeier each scored four.

Holy Names is currently ensconced as the second-place team in the Metro’s Mountain Division with an overall season record of 15-2.

BHS remains the second place team in the Metro-Sound, with a conference record of 5-6 and an overall season record of 6-9.
