BAINBRIDGE – Skyline slipped past Bainbridge 6-2 in girls varsity softball with a blockbuster, five-run fourth inning powered by an Annika Hildebrand home run.

The Spartans went up 1-0 in the first inning, but unfortunately for the home crowd at BHS’s fastpitch field, it was the Skyline Spartans. The visitors increased their lead to 6-0 in the fourth and Bainbridge didn’t get onto the board until the sixth.

Megan Spray went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Bainbridge Spartans, and Deahna King also finished with a double and an RBI.

The game was Bainbridge’s fourth non-league loss (3-4 overall, 3-0 Metro League).
