Bainbridge track has large turnout

The Bainbridge High School track team is huge this spring with 55 boys and 45 girls turning out.

Coach Andy Grimm said six seniors lead the boys team. Mathuran LeDorze is their top sprinter with Evan Gray and Peter Mace Korytko their top distance runners. Leaders in the throwing events are Alex Miller, Elias Roa and Aiden Freitas.

Others returning are: Charles Smith, Max Strom, Rowan Skipton, Thomas Steen, Dylan Tyler, Will Alston, Micah Bryant, Joe Capps, Pavel Dhaliwal, Tristian Evans, Brad Montgomery, Rowan Schick, Zach Shields, Bodie Strom and Finn Wenker.

The girls are led by senior Allie Wildsmith, who placed fifth in state in the high jump as a freshman in 2020 pre-COVID-19. Other standout seniors are distance runners Eden Michael and Lucy King with Claire Jackson standing out in the throwing events. Sophomore pole vaulter Ella McRitchie returns with an outstanding personal best of 13 feet, 7 inches.
