For the 9-10 age-group, Jaden Wood-Johnson snared silver in the all-around with a high-flying second-place finish on vault.

Newcomer Jacob Hall finished strong with a fourth place on parallel bars and a third on high bar, and finished eighth  overall.

Mace Korytko captured third on rings and held on for a sixth place overall in the 11-and-up group.

Leo Uyekawa demolished the field of Level 5 age 9-10 athletes, and found gold in the all-around with first-place performances on rings and vault and second on parallel bars. Jack Ekstrand seized a place on Pommel and brought home a bronze overall.

Owen Scheer blasted the competition on pommel. He took first for the second year in a row and finished eighth overall.

For the age 11-and-up group, Aidan Cretarolo landed on the top of the podium with a gold medal overall, and locked in a first place on floor and second place on rings.

Level 6 athletes held their own amid grueling competition. Kiernan Liberman secured eighth overall with a strong performance on rings that netted him a seventh-place finish.

Abe Muldrow prevailed on floor with a solid seventh-place show, which landed him in 13th overall.

Five gymnasts — Kiernan Liberman, Aidan Cretarolo, Owen Scheer, Jack Ekstrand and Leo Uyekawa — move on to the regional level competition in Vancouver, Washington.

The competition is April 18-19 and top teams from five states will battle.

With a showing of more than 20 teams packed to the gills with talented athletes, Bainbridge Island not only measured up to the quality performances at the state level, they stood out. After the results were tallied, athletes Leo Uyekawa and Jack Ekstrand were hand-picked to participate in a Junior Olympic Development clinic put on by the Washington Junior Olympic Development Team.
