Bainbridge bests Ballard, Ingraham

The Bainbridge Spartans came back strong from the holiday break by besting Ballard and Ingraham in girls varsity gymnastics late last week.

BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge Spartans came back strong from the holiday break by besting Ballard and Ingraham in girls varsity gymnastics late last week.

Bainbridge won with a total score of 161.65. Ballard was second (148.55) and Ingraham, third (131.1).

The Spartans dominated in vault, with Emma Chee taking first with a score of 8.3. Teammates Siqi Talley and Ashleigh Cate tied for third in the event, with scores of 8.1.

Remi Rosencrans had an amazing meet for Bainbridge. She finished first in uneven parallel bars (8.9 score) and also took the top spot on beam (8.6) and floor exercise (9).

Bainbridge found its footing on beam, with the Spartans taking first through sixth place.

Cate was second on beam (8.5), followed by Alathea Pippinger (8.4), Kylie Daniel (8.2), Talley (8) and Karena Klinkenberg (7.9).

Talley also earned a second place in bars (8.7) and tied for third on floor (8.75). She was the all-around winner with a total score of 33.55.
