Ten-hut! Make a hole: Here comes General John Kelly to get things squared away.
Following the staff shakeup at the White House, General Kelly was brought in as the new chief of staff with marching orders to bring discipline and order to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
But — it’s President Trump’s 29th week in the presidency, and the chaos continues.
Front and center, once again, is the investigation into Russian meddling with the 2016 Election and potential collusion with the Trump campaign. Week 29 brought news of grand juries being assembled as special counsel Robert Mueller continues his probe.
Also fodder for newspaper cartoonists in recent days: White House leaks, Trump’s reluctant signing of sanctions against Russia, and the president’s continued plummet in the polls.
