Sitting by the Christmas tree in the Wyatt House lobby, enjoying good- natured conversation, Russ Heald passed away on Dec. 16, 2016.

​He was born in Gold Bar, Washington on Nov. 12, 1914. He was 102.​ The memorial service was Thursday, Jan. 12 at Port Madison Lutheran Church​ on Bainbridge Island.
