Kelly Nelson

August 18, 1927 – October 23, 2011

      Kelly Nelson, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Wyatt House on Bainbridge Island, WA. She was born on August 18, 1927 in Spokane, WA to George Justice and Grace Kirby Justice Davis. She was 84 years of age.

      Kelly lived in Leavenworth, WA for 17 years where she raised her son and daughter and then moved to East Wenatchee, WA where she lived for 28 years. She later moved to Bainbridge Island, WA to be near her daughter. Kelly worked in the restaurant, car rental and fitness industries throughout her life. She received awards at the National Female Bodybuilding in 1998, and numerous bodybuilding awards and recognitions over a decade of competing.       Kelly is survived by her children: Colleen Fisher and her husband Mike of Bainbridge Island, WA and Patrick O’Laughlin and granddaughter Kellie O’Laughlin both of Enon Valley, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Jon Nelson.

      Services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to any animal charity, PETA, PAWS of Bainbridge Island or the Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers (IVC) of Bainbridge Island, WA.
