Jason Lynn Guthrie

Jason Lynn Guthrie, of Port Orchard, died at home on July 8. He was 44.

He grew up on Bainbridge Island and for the last 12 years had lived in Port Orchard with Suzi, his wife of 20 years, whom he met in 1983 while attending Central Washington University.

His successful business career began at Seattle Northwest Securities and included work at Key Bank, Campbell Waterman, First Washington, and most recently EK Riley Investments as senior vice president.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend with a hearty laugh, endless smile, comforting nature, big blue eyes and passion for life.

He is survived by his wife, Suzi Winslow Guthrie; children Nicholas, 14, Stephanie, 12 and Nathan, 10; parents Jack and Mickey Guthrie; sister Jalene Guthrie; and brother Jarrod Guthrie.

A memorial service was held on July 16 at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made at any Wells Fargo branch in the name of “Donation Account for Guthrie Kids.”
