Weekend weather report: Smokin’ hot | The Bainbridge Blab

This summer scorcher will continue through the weekend on Bainbridge Island, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.

The island — and much of the Western Washington interior — remains under an excessive heat warning until 9 p.m. Friday.

Friday’s high is expected to hit near 89 degrees, and Saturday will be nearly as hot, with a high temp of 87 degrees in the forecast.

Widespread smoke will continue after morning fog on Saturday, courtesy of our Canadian neighbors and the forest fires in B.C., and the day should stay mostly sunny.

The temperature will drop to a low around 59 overnight, and things will heat up again Sunday, with a high near 89.

Sunday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 59.

Sunny and hot weather continues into next week, with highs in the upper 80s.
