TRAVEL ADVISORY | Bainbridge-Seattle route returns to two-boat service

Washington State Ferries said two-boat service has been restored to the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route following the loss of the ferry M/V Tacoma early Saturday for repairs.

The Tacoma was pulled from the route early Oct. 7 after problems were discovered with the vessel’s drive motor cooling system.

The 7:55 a.m. departure from Bainbridge and the 8:55 a.m. sailing from Seattle were cancelled.

Repairs have been made to the Tacoma, according to WSF, and two-boat service was restored beginning with the 9:45 a.m. departure from Bainbridge.
