Spartronics Team 4915 won the highly coveted “Excellence in Engineering” award at the recent Glacier Peak District Event.

The Bainbridge team was selected by the #1 Alliance, even though they finished the tournament in 33rd place out of 38 teams. They were chosen as they had one of the top goal-shooting robots of the tournament and were the last pick for the quarterfinals, finishing in first place, even through their robot did not play in the final match.

Spartronics students also nominated Kevin Hawkins for the Woodie Flowers Award, which recognizes a mentor of the year. A finalist nominee will be chosen in Portland at the Regional (Washington, Oregon and Alaska) finals in early April.
