A 19-year-old Bainbridge Island man was arrested Friday for allegedly growing marijuana in his Rolling Bay home.

A 55-year-old woman also at the residence was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bainbridge Police officers served a narcotics search warrant in the 9600 block of Valley Road, and found “a small marijuana growing operation of 10 plants,” Detective Scott Weiss said.

Additional growing equipment “still new in boxes” suggested that a larger operation was planned, Weiss said.

The male suspect, whose name was not released, was booked into the county jail on $10,000 bail. The woman, who police said had marijuana paraphernalia in her bathroom, was free pending charges by the prosecutor’s office.
