Park commissioners will gather for a briefing on the idea to build a pump track at Battle Point Park next week.

The board of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will meet for the presentation at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at Strawberry Hill Center. Public comments will be taken after the presentation.

The regular board meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

Agenda items include approving the concept plan for the pump track, and possible action on the installation of donated heat system for Camp Yeomalt Cabin.

Commissioners will also talk about a grant application for Fort Ward Community Center, invasive weed control at Fort Ward Park, and get a debriefing on the public meeting on the Sakai property.
