The windstorm whipping Puget Sound Tuesday morning has left residents across Bainbridge Island without power.

The windstorm whipping Puget Sound Tuesday morning has left residents across Bainbridge Island without power.

Puget Sound Energy has received reports of scattered outages from one end of the island to the other.

The largest blackout hit just before 11 a.m. near Crystal Springs, where more than 260 homes lost electricity.

Other outages were reported in neighborhoods near Wing Point, Ferncliff Avenue and Manitou Beach. Another 125 homes on Grand Avenue NE were also in the dark.

Smaller outages were reported near Battle Point, Arrow Point, north of Madrona Heights, and Agate Point.
