Police using ferry Hyak for training Wednesday

The Washington State Patrol, along with the Bainbridge Island Police Department, Coast Guard and Seattle police, will use the ferry M/V Hyak for a training exercise in Puget Sound between Seattle and Bainbridge Wednesday.

The training will run until 2 p.m. Feb. 10, according to the State Patrol, and the public may notice a large law enforcement presence aboard the vessel.

The Hyak will be out of service during the drills, and no passengers will be aboard the boat during the training, according to the State Patrol.
