Paved with Gold: The Island School presents tales of immigration

Student actors will reenact journeys from Russia, Korea, Sweden and many places in between at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26.

Members of the Island School’s fifth grade class will perform “Paved with Gold: Strength and Survival,” a series of immigration stories, songs and dramatic pieces based on the experiences of their ancestors on Thursday, May 26. The free performance, which begins at 7 p.m., will take place at The Island School’s Webster Hall for the eighth year in a row. Students reenact journeys from Russia, Korea, Sweden and many places in between.
