‘No-contact’ advisory ends for Ravine Creek

The Kitsap Public Health District announced it has lifted the "no-contact" advisory for Ravine Creek on Bainbridge Island and the closure zone in Eagle Harbor at its mouth.

The Kitsap Public Health District announced it has lifted the “no-contact” advisory for Ravine Creek on Bainbridge Island and the closure zone in Eagle Harbor at its mouth.

The advisory was lifted based on test results for water samples taken Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Bainbridge residents were warned to avoid contact with Ravine Creek and the water at the mouth of the creek in Eagle Harbor on Oct. 6 after the failure of a sewer pump station the day before that led to a 15,000-gallon sewage spill into the city storm water system and Ravine Creek.
