More than a dozen areas on Bainbridge Island were still without power Monday morning as 78 line crews from Puget Sound Energy continue to work to restore power to customers in Kitsap, Whatcom, Skagit and King counties.

On Bainbridge, the outages are greatest in a few neighborhoods on the south end of the island.

According to PSE, 52 homes just west of Toe Jam Hill Road were still without electricity Monday. The lights went out just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. PSE expects to restore power there by midnight Tuesday.

Another 55 homes just north of South Beach are also without power.

That neighborhood, near NE Point View Drive, has been without electricity since 8:30 p.m. Saturday. PSE estimates the power will be back on by 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Scattered outages remained across Bainbridge Monday, including in neighborhoods near Rolling Bay, Manzanita and Port Madison.

In addition to line crews, PSE said Monday it also has 45 service crews, 111 damage assessors and 11 substation inspectors responding to outage reports.

All told, nearly 500 workers have responded to make repairs and restore power after Saturday’s windstorm.
