Dianne L. McFarlane passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at her home on Bainbridge Island. She was 72.

She was born on March 5, 1943 in Seattle to Erik and Eva (Ubel) Jackson.

Dianne was a third generation islander and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, her love of teaching, playing the piano, scrap booking and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jesse; daughters Lisa McFarlene, Lily Barr, sons Frank and Ted McFarlene; and grandchildren, Mac, Noah, Jordy, Korah, Cameron and Ben.

Dianne was preceded in death by  her parents and brother’s Arnold and David Jackson.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1 at Cook Family Funeral Home on Bainbridge Island.

The graveside service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 at Port Blakely Cemetery on Bainbridge. A reception will follow at the Bainbridge Island Senior Center.
