Kitsap lawmakers hold town halls

Legislators representing Kitsap County’s 23rd Legislative District will host two town hall meetings on Saturday, March 23, to provide an update on the 2019 Legislative Session in Olympia and take questions from district residents.

The town halls will be attended by 23rd District lawmakers Sen. Christine Rolfes and Reps. Sherry Appleton and Drew Hansen.

The first town hall is 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23 in the commons at Olympic High School, 7077 Stampede Blvd. NW, Bremerton

The second is 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the LGI at Bainbridge High School, 9330 NE High School Road.

The Legislature is in the midst of a 105-day session scheduled to conclude April 28. Organizers of the town halls said lawmakers from Kitsap will provide a brief update on budget proposals and discuss legislation to address education, clean air and water, local jobs and infrastructure, health care, and many more needs.
