Kitsap Humane Society holds annual board meeting this weekend

The Kitsap Humane Society will host its annual board of directors meeting this weekend in Silverdale.

The Kitsap Humane Society will host its annual board of directors meeting this weekend in Silverdale.

Dr. Jennifer Stonequist, director of medicine for the shelter, and executive director Eric Stevens will kick off the meeting with a brief keynote presentation on “The Benefits and Challenges of Being a Progressive Animal Welfare Organization.”

Following this presentation, board president Rosemary Shaw and KHS managers will give an annual report detailing the programs and progress made over the past year.

An audience question-and-answer period will be followed by the election of officers for the 2013 board.

The meeting is 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at the Silverdale Community Center, 9729 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale. The public is invited to attend.
