Kitsap Bank recently presented a $10,000 donation to the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association as part of the bank’s Community Connections Program.

“Kitsap Bank is pleased to again partner with the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association,” said Tony George, Kitsap Bank president.

“The Bainbridge Island Downtown Association has continually been able to preserve the heart and soul of the community of Bainbridge Island. The Main Street Program allows Kitsap Bank to partner with dedicated businesses and community leaders that are driven to create and manage a sustainable downtown,” he added.

The donation is part of the Department of Revenue’s Main Street Tax Incentive Program, which provides Business & Occupation (B&O) tax credits for businesses that invest in downtown revitalization efforts, including economic development activities designed to support and promote the local small business community.

In 2014 and 2015, Kitsap Bank donated more than $70,000 to the Main Street Tax Incentive Program.
