Board officials praised Jackson for launching numerous popular programs and partnerships while adding focus and dimension to the organization as it remained true to its mission and values.

“Under Susan’s leadership we have survived and even flourished in really challenging times,” said Ellin Spenser, president of the BAC board of trustees.

“The gallery has enhanced its quality and its reach and is widely recognized as a highly professional arts institution in this region. BAC’s representation of well-known and emerging regional artists; its educational programs for the community; its sharing of art in businesses, hospitals and medical facilities; and its amazing staff, both paid and volunteer, all are the direct result of the high level of professionalism, vision and energy that Susan has brought us. We are blessed to have her,” Spenser said.
