Martin LeBlanc, new senior vice president of IslandWood, will give a talk at Bloedel Reserve at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19 about the urgent need to reconnect children with nature.

His talk is one of more than a dozen lectures and classes by experts in healthcare, psychology and landscape design at Bloedel Reserve in June, on the important relationship of Nature and Well-Being.

LeBlanc is the founder of the Children and Nature Network, and was National Youth Director for the Sierra Club. His talk will emphasize the growing concern that children spend more than 50 hours a week interacting with electronic devices.

The cost is $10 for reserve members, $15 for non-members.
