Gov. Jay Inslee will sign the 2013-15 state operating budget into law at 4 p.m. Sunday, a spokesman reported just after noon June 30.

Passage of the bill will prevent a government shutdown on Monday, July 1.

The $33.6 billion budget will be signed into law along with 15 other bills, including House bills to temporarily suspend inflationary increases in educational employee compensation, and implement basic education expenditures.
