Chapman earns multiple honors

Jennifer Marie Chapman of Bainbridge Island graduated from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California on June 15, 2014.

She received a bachelor of architecture degree with summa cum laude honors and the AIA Certificate of Merit for achieving the second highest GPA in her class.

She has also received two “Outstanding Architecture Student” awards and Honorable Mention in the Los Angeles Business Council’s Julius Shulman Design Competition.

Prior to attending Cal Poly Pomona, she studied photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara and received her liberal arts associate’s degree from Santa Barbara City College.

The new graduate is a 2004 alumni of Bainbridge High School and granddaughter of Chris and Jim Taylor of Bainbridge island.

Though considering graduate school over the coming years, she will remain in Los Angeles to pursue a career in architecture.
