Boys suffer rare golf loss vs. Prep

The boys varsity golf team lost 137-123 on the road to Seattle Preparatory at Jefferson Park Golf Club.

SEATTLE – The boys varsity golf team lost 137-123 on the road Tuesday, Oct. 7 to Seattle Preparatory at Jefferson Park Golf Club.

Despite the loss, Spartan golfer and continual team points leader Sam Warkentin did earn the highest score in the match and was the only player on either team to finish under par.

The course is a Par-36, Warkentin finished the day with a score of 35 (28 points).

Teammate David Wellbrock was close behind with 24 points. Team captain Hudson Hausmann and Nate Boegl both chipped in 19 points, Brooks Wallace managed 17 points and Colin Campbell ended the match with 16.
