A Bainbridge Island woman was killed in an early morning house fire Saturday, according to the Bainbridge Island Fire Department.

Firefighters were called to Monte Vista Drive early April 18 for a residential fire, and one of the occupants was originally reported missing but was later found dead.

The fire remains under investigation.
