Bainbridge Police reported the following incidents:

NOVEMBER 9

5:14 p.m. A moth was blamed for a two-car collision on North Madison Avenue. A Bainbridge woman driving a Subaru Legacy said she had been turning from Beachcrest Drive onto northbound North Madison Avenue, when she noticed a moth flying inside her car. The woman began swatting at the moth and her car veered across the centerline of the road, striking an oncoming Honda Accord. The Honda spun 270 degrees and came to rest facing north. Both vehicles were towed. The driver of the Subaru was cited for inattention to driving.

NOVEMBER 10

8:04 a.m. A woman reported that her Nissan Pathfinder had been keyed while it was parked overnight on South Beach Drive. A single scratch ran the length of the vehicle. No suspects.

6:05 p.m. A Florida driver was cited for failing to yield after her Toyota Camry hit a Chevy van exiting the ferry. The Florida woman had a suspended driver’s license.

NOVEMBER 11

11:17 a.m. Graffiti was discovered at several school buildings and walls surrounding Bainbridge High School. The tags had been sprayed with white paint. Several included the letters “BSO.” A school district employee said the vandalism likely occurred after 5 p.m. the previous evening. No suspects.

NOVEMBER 12

8:42 a.m. A school employee reported graffiti on the roof of Blakely Elmentary School. It appeared that someone had gained access to the roof over the weekend and painted several messages in yellow paint. One message said, “Whos watching the watchmen.” The numbers “11 24” and “7 23” were also found, along with a depiction of male genitalia. Numerous barefoot prints were found on the roof, but police could not determine how the vandals had gained access. No suspects.

3:03 p.m. Graffiti was found on a wall near a condominium complex. The white tags were identical to those found earlier at the high school campus. The complex manager said he had seen teenagers hanging out in the area where the graffiti occurred. No suspects.

3:52 p.m. A Fairview Avenue man found an empty beer keg in the woods near his home. The keg had “Alaskan Brewing and Bottling Company,” stamped into the metal. The man did not want to claim the keg and it was entered as found property.

NOVEMBER 13

1:53 A Suquamish driver was arrested on SR-305 and HIdden Cove Road for driving with a first degree suspended license. He was booked into Kitsap County Jail on $5,000 bail. The car was towed.
