The Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 21, in the Bainbridge Island Public Library meeting room.
The topic is “Tough and Unusual Cases: How we did it (finally).” BIGS mentors Sue Elving and Anna Dupen will present case studies showing how they solved genealogy problems. One particular case study involves a Scottish immigrant and a trip to the Supreme Court (1813). Bring questions.
The meeting is free to members; a $5 donation is suggested for nonmembers.
