Wednesday, April 4

1:33 p.m. A resident living on Foster Road said her identity had been stolen and her debit card number was used to make fraudulent charges.

Six charges totaling $2,511 were billed to the debit card. The resident’s bank cancelled the card right away.

Friday, April 6

7:45 a.m. A driver slammed his brakes and swerved to avoid a collision with a vehicle in front of him on Olympic Drive. When he swerved he collided with a Kitsap Transit bus and damaging the door on the bus.

12:03 p.m. A man reported that his car was damaged by an unknown person on Lynwood Center Road.

The word “meow” was scratched into the paint on the passenger door of the vehicle. The owner of the car told police that he housesat for his ex-girlfriend’s family last year while they were still together. The family’s six cats had escaped while he was watching the home and have not been seen since.

The man told police he gave the family money for the missing cats but they wanted more. He added that he has had problems with the family ever since. He had heard from his ex-girlfriend after he discovered his damaged door, and she told him that it was damaged by her new ex-boyfriend that she dated right after him.

The man requested that police do not contact his ex-girlfriend or her family but that he wanted to report the incident.

11:47 p.m. Police pulled over a vehicle for having faulty brake lights on Cosgrove Street. The driver said that he was aware of the problem. While speaking with the driver, police noticed the smell of marijuana. Police inquired about the smell and a passenger pulled out a small bag of marijuana and handed it to the officer. The passenger received a ticket for possession of drug paraphernalia.
