A Bainbridge Island woman faced additional charges in court this week after she crashed her 1986 Toyota pickup in a rollover accident on Highway 3 south of Poulsbo the day after Thanksgiving.

The Washington State Patrol said the woman, 29, was driving south on Highway 3 near Finn Hill when she lost control of her 1986 Toyota pickup and went off the road just before 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27.

According to a case report from the Washington State Patrol, the woman was driving along the highway when she struck a patch of frost and lost control. The truck crossed over into the other lane, then went into the ditch and rolled.

At the scene of the crash, the woman told police she had a suspended license and also noted she probably had a warrant for her arrest.

A State Trooper determined the woman had her license suspended in the third degree, and had three outstanding warrants. She also had a requirement to have an ignition interlock device in her vehicle, but didn’t.

The woman, who was charged for driving too fast for conditions, was taken by a medic unit to Harrison Silverdale.

Her truck was towed from the accident scene.

The woman was charged with two criminal offenses Monday in Kitsap County District Court.

The woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device, and for driving with a third-degree suspended license.
