The Bainbridge girls basketball team has the unenviable task of playing the first game of the tournament, dubbed the ‘Egg McMuffin’ game against the defending champs in Auburn Riverside.

The Ravens (18-3) have not lost a game in state this season and have scored 80 points or more in 14 games.

Their top player is Katie Grad, a Washington State recruit who is second in scoring in 3A with 21.7 points per game.

Auburn Riverside defeated Chief Sealth last season to win its first girls basketball title in school history.

The 3A state tournament is March 5-8 at the Bank of America Arena on the University of Washington campus.
