Monday, Oct. 13

9:47 a.m. Tires to a 2010 Tahoe were found slashed in the car owner’s driveway off of Lovell Avenue.

Wednesday, Oct. 15

5:36 p.m. A woman was checking on her sister and brother-in-law’s home while they were out of town and found the mailbox post broken off at the ground. The mailbox, newspaper box and address sign were left in the weeds next to the road.

Saturday, Oct. 18

10 a.m. The rear wheels from two bicycles were stolen from an apartment complex bike rack.

Sunday, Oct. 19

10:25 a.m. Several pieces of sterling flatware were discovered stolen from a Bainbridge home on Sunrise Drive. The flatware was hidden in a secret panel in the wall that also conceals speakers on both sides of the fireplace.

When the homeowner’s daughter stopped by to check on the house while her father was in rehab for a fall, however, she found just six table knives and some serving pieces left in the box. The majority of the 12-serving set and some assorted tea spoons were stolen.

A replacement set, new, costs $15,000.

There were no signs of forced entry into the house.
