MONDAY, APRIL 25

4:13 a.m. A 30-year-old Kingston woman in a 2006 Honda Accord was pulled over while driving north on Highway 305 near NE West Port Madison Road.

An officer determined she was going 61 mph in a 50 mph zone, and the Honda had been swerving in and out of its lane. The driver crossed the yellow center line on the highway four times and crossed the white fog line three times.

The woman smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages and said she had “a couple of drinks a few hours ago.”

The driver performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was arrested for driving under the influence and subsequently blew a .170 and .177 on breath tests. She was booked into Kitsap County Jail and bail was set at $5,000.

SUNDAY, APRIL 24

8:18 p.m. Police stopped a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta with expired tabs in the 1300 block of Madison Avenue.

The driver, a 27-year-old Bainbridge Island man, presented a Washington identification card when asked for his license. Police determined he was wanted on a warrant on $5,000 bail from Kitsap County; his license had been suspended in the third degree.

The driver was arrested and booked into Kitsap County Jail.
