Thursday, Feb. 7

9:35 p.m. Police responded to a domestic assault in the Lynwood area. An ex-boyfriend showed up at a woman’s home and started an argument. The woman called another ex-girlfriend of the man’s to come and remove him, but he hid in the bushes outside until she left.

Then the man returned and began breaking items in the home. First he smashed a glass cage for a snake and cut himself. The ex-boyfriend then grabbed a knife from the kitchen and attempted to cut his arm, but the knife was too dull. He said he wanted to die and banged his head into a wall. The two then fought. The ex-boyfriend tried to choke the woman and punched her in the face. When she broke free she tried to call 911, but the man stomped on the phone, breaking it. She tried to lock him out next. When she thought he had left, she went to get a vacuum to begin cleaning the mess up and discovered the ex-boyfriend in another room laying on a dog bed. He was unresponsive. She drove to the nearest fire station to get help since her phone was broken. The ex-boyfriend was airlifted to a Seattle hospital for his injuries and for an overdose of an unknown substance.

Friday, Feb. 8

9:32 a.m. Outgoing mail was stolen overnight from a mailbox on Toad Holler Place.

3:10 p.m. A truck was struck by a car while stopped at Koura Road and Highway 305. The driver of the car was going too fast to make the turn onto Koura and struck the truck behind the driver’s door. The two drivers pulled into a nearby parking lot to exchange information, but when the truck driver said he was going to call the police, the woman in the car drove off.
