Sunday, Nov. 3

2:07 p.m. Park officials reported damage to a restroom at Battle Point Park. Someone took a large rock and used it to dismantle a urinal. The rock was also used to smash the toilet in the next stall.

Monday, Nov. 4

9:11 a.m. An island resident had a verbal argument with her live-in landlord. The resident told police that she notified the landlord that she would be moving out at the end of the month. The landlord became upset and began threatening her. The resident told officers that the landlord insulted her race, religion and at one point that she would find some men to do some “terrible” things to her. The resident left the home for the night. Officers told her to call 911 if it became unsafe to collect her belongings.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

11:30 a.m. Officers reported a possible break-in at an island residence. Police were in the area and noticed the doors to the second story deck were wide open and a broken window on the north side of the house. A sign on the front door indicated that the house was abandoned and that it was bank-owned.
