Sunday, Aug. 25

8:26 p.m. Officers were dispatched to an island residence after a report of an intruder. The homeowner told police after coming home from a concert, he and his roommate got into an argument that resulted in the roommate punching the homeowner in the mouth and throwing a beer can at him. The roommate then left the residence.

The homeowner locked the door to prevent his roommate from coming back inside.

A short period of time passed before the roommate returned. He became angry when he could not enter and began banging on the door. The homeowner told police that at that point the roommate threw a ski through the front window screen.

Officers observed a torn window screen where the ski had gone through. A third roommate was present and stated that she witnessed the throwing of the ski. The window was open at the time so no glass was broken.

Monday, Aug. 26

12:53 p.m. A resident was contacted by police about identity theft. On Aug. 21, the resident was charged $253.19 to his Kitsap Credit Union bank account. The charge was for a Shark vacuum that was to be shipped to a New Jersey address.

The resident disputed the charge and the purchase was denied. The Visa debit card that was used was later canceled by the resident.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

12:20 p.m. A resident said his son was on his property without permission. The son was told earlier in the day to leave the residence and that he wasn’t allowed on the property.

The father said he has told his son the same thing in previous instances, but his son would respond by telling his father to just call the police. It was the first time a police call had been made.

Bainbridge officers reiterated to the son that he was not welcome on the property and if he came back he could be arrested. The son left the residence after using the officer’s cell phone to leave a message with relatives.
