Georgia Browne has been named publicist for Bainbridge Arts & Crafts.

She succeeds Lindsay Masters, who recently accepted the executive director position at the nonprofit gallery.

“Georgia comes to us with a wealth of experience and deep ties to Bainbridge Island’s cultural community,” Masters said.

“We’re incredibly lucky to have her.”

Browne has worked on Bainbridge for the past 12 years as the public relations and cultural events coordinator for the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District.

She currently teaches digital arts part-time at the Northwest College of Art and Design and looks forward to blending these two career opportunities to immerse herself in the arts, one of her favorite passions and pastimes.

Raised in Juneau, Alaska, Browne earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of California, Riverside.

A director with a private education center for many years, Browne also has extensive experience in community outreach and communication.

In addition, she is a musician and budding artist.

BAC, now 67 years in operation, was the first nonprofit art gallery on Bainbridge and one of the first in Washington.

The gallery specializes in contemporary Northwest art, representing 265 artists through its retail gallery and monthly special exhibitions.
