The National Weather Service’s office in Seattle has issued a wind advisory for Tuesday, Dec. 8.

The advisory will remain in effect until 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Winds from the south of 20 to 30 mph — with gusts up to 50 mph — are expected in Western Washington.

Strong winds are expected across the Kitsap Peninsula, as well as the area from Olympia north through Tacoma and Seattle, according to the National Weather Service.

Weaker trees may be knocked over because of the wind, according to forecasters, and falling trees and branches may lead to local power outages.
