The Bainbridge-based Gypsy jazz band Ranger and the Re-Arrangers will hold their rescheduled Bainbridge Island Museum of Art concert event previously canceled at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

“We had to postpone our concert that was to be held at BIMA on Nov. 15 due to a death in the band,” explained group founder Ranger Sciacca.

The concert will feature special guest musician Roger Ferguson.

Ferguson has been earning national acclaim for decades. He won the Flatpick Guitar Championship in 1979, toured with Mark O’Connor, has recorded music for PBS and published lessons in Guitar Player magazine.

The set list will include American swing standards, traditional Gypsy melodies, and the music of Django Reinhardt.

Violinist Sciacca will provide a counterpoint to Ferguson’s improvisations.

Admission is by donation.
