Three new exhibitions will be on display in Bainbridge Arts & Crafts beginning Nov. 7.

First, “Encaustic Horizons” will showcase surrealistic imagery, rendered in glowing encaustic, by Claudia Meyer-Newman that was inspired by the artist’s month-long road trip through the American Southwest.

There will be a special First Friday artists’ reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7.

Also on display is “New Work” by John Keppeler.

Keppeler’s childhood in Hawaii, and lifelong love of the ocean, inform his functional fused glasswork.

Finally, a collection of photographers will present their unique, creative takes on a common theme in “Doorways,” featuring images by Cameron Bahnson, Michael Frey, Raymond Gendreau, Colleen Meacham, Jim Nilsen, Ken Smith and Kay Walsh.

A nonprofit art gallery founded in 1948, BAC encourages the creation and appreciation of fine contemporary art and craft by exhibiting and selling the work of Northwest artists, and by offering art education to a county-wide audience of all ages.

BAC is located at 151 Winslow Way E.
