The Sounds of Summer concert series returns to Battle Point Park for free shows on Wednesdays through Aug. 3.

Sponsored by the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District, the concerts are 7 to 8:30 p.m. It’s fun for the whole family with live music, food vendors, face painting and balloon clowns.

Nick Drummond of The Senate brings alt-folk on July 20, followed by CMT award winner Chance McKinney and his industrialized country tunes on July 27. Last but not least is Kitsap’s favorite party band, Planet Groove, on Aug. 3.
