Island writer to screen short films

Local writer and film producer Birke Duncan will screen his two Bainbridge Island-themed short movies — “A Janitor’s Territory,” for which local Justin Lynn won the Best Shorts Award for Best Supporting Actor, and “Runaway Imagination,” which just premiered — in a special double feature screening event.

Local writer and film producer Birke Duncan will screen his two Bainbridge Island-themed short movies — “A Janitor’s Territory,” for which local Justin Lynn won the Best Shorts Award for Best Supporting Actor, and “Runaway Imagination,” which just premiered — in a special double feature screening event at the Community Room at Virginia Villa (200 High School Road NE), next to St. Cecilia’s Church, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The event is free and open to the public.

Birke, who wrote and produced both movies, will be answering questions and discussing the films and the stories behind them.
