“Fighting for America: Nisei Soldiers” poet Lawrence Matsuda and illustrator Matt Sasaki will share their new graphic novel from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.

“Fighting for America” tells the story of six courageous Nisei soldiers from the Pacific Northwest who proved their loyalty and made a significant impact on American history.

The free talk is co-sponsored by Kitsap Regional Library, Field’s End and the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
