Global food security is the next Great Decisions at the Library

The Bainbridge Public Library concludes its 2014 Great Decisions at the Library series with the topic of global food security. Even as a sixth of the world’s population already suffers from chronic hunger, a changing climate threatens to wreak havoc on already insecure and vulnerable populations.

As food and water become scarce and once fertile land becomes barren, the U.S. finds itself faced with new challenges in global security.

The moderator is Karen Litfin, a professor of political science at the University of Washington who has a specialty in global environmental politics.
