Bainbridge Island is once again bound for the big screen.

Bainbridge Island is once again bound for the big screen.

Arts & Humanities Bainbridge announced earlier this week that the deadline for filmmakers looking to enter the 2015 Celluloid Bainbridge Film Festival is Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The two-day festival is slated for Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25. Movie makers from Bainbridge Island — and the whole of Kitsap County — are welcome to submit their films, event officials said.

This year’s festival features two new entry categories: “The Best of Kitsap” (all films must have been filmed in Kitsap or feature a past or present Kitsap resident in the cast, crew, or production) and “Celluloid Late Night” (strictly for adult audiences). Submission fees are $30 for each single film submitted by an adult, or $50 for multiple films and $20 for each single film submitted by a youth (younger than 18) filmmaker, or $30 for multiple films.

Since 1999, Celluloid Bainbridge has screened amateur and professional films, providing a venue for both established and aspiring filmmakers to share their work.
